Spicebush Swallowtails

I planted three spicebush plants a week or so ago; a butterfly has found one already!

Two caterpillars and an egg of the Papilio troilus, Spicebush Swallowtail  – and of course, they’ve picked a little sapling instead of the bigger bush across the lot. I may have to move them.

Have a look at the Datura inoxia, devil’s trumpet, that sprang up from seed; it has doubled in size over the last month. Smells so good!
